The incredible Katie Jane Hughes is back to create a Ciaté disco diva makeup tutorial, featuring our Marbled Metals sparkling eyeshadow pots. Velvety to touch, the unique marbled powder formula feels like a cream shadow and applies to the lid with wet look, full coverage sparkle. In her latest makeup video tutorial, Katie shows us how to bring a bit of disco back into our lives, just in time for the holiday season.
To start with, Katie applied our Extraordinary Foundation in the shade 106P Silk around the eyes, lips, and the mouth to even out the skin tone without looking too heavy. The beauty of Extraordinary Foundation is that it has medium to full coverage but has slip and is easy to blend. It can be buffed over the skin or used in place of concealer for a light natural look.
Next, she went straight in with the eyes, using Marbled Metals in Twisted and Entwine. Using a flat brush to pick up the shade Twisted, she placed it on the outer corner of the eye by the lash line. After applying the base layer, she added more pigment and sparkle by using her finger to press on extra shadow. She softened and buffed the edges with a clean, fluffy blending brush. Next Katie smoothed the shade Entwine into the inner part of her eyelid and blended into the first colour. The trick is to apply slowly, building up colour layer by layer. To finish off the eye, she coated her lashes with one of her favourites, volumizing Wonderwand mascara.
To bronze up the complexion, she buffed Bare Minerals Faux Tan Bronzer around the perimeter of her face. She added definition and matte colour to her lips with Chantecaille Lip Liner and Makeup Forever Lip Liner.
To finish off her celebrity makeup tutorial, Katie used our new Miss Piggy All About Moi! blush palette. The crème formulas can be applied with fingers or a brush. Katie opted for a brush to buff the shade Diva over her cheeks. For an extra pop, she added Fabulous to the apple of her cheek. Katie even used a touch of Oh Kermie! on the centre of her lips.
“I really loved creating that look. It was so easy and I feel very put together, and fun!”
